Constructed wetlands /CWs) are a most impotantnature- based technology for wide range of wastewatertreatment and have been emplovecworldwide for decades,. The treatment eficiency of cWs depends on their configuration and is afuncion ofyarous parameters includingwastewatertype, substrate, and operation conditions etc. Optimising configuration, developing novel operational strategy, and wiser use otreatment orocess coupled with other systemin CW for a beter treatment effciency are always the research topicin R&D ofCws, This talksummarises the series studies with the most recent update ofCW development. lt is expected that the talk can provide useful information androadmap of CWs R&D and thus help overseeing CWs technology and promoting CW's further development and application

Heisamong the top 100,000 world scientists (all subjects)ranked 39,558, while he is ranked in 5th inEnvironmentalScience and 15th in Engineering andTechnology in lrish Top Scientists in 2022. In 2023, he isthe world's top 2% scientists.
